USB (but not Bluetooth) tethering broken by iTunes 12.3.0.44?

Noticed that USB tethering isn't working after updating to iOS 9 and iTunes 12.3.0.44. Misery loves company . . . can't post link as that is not allowed so you will have to google yourselves. Thought you should know.

Shouldn't, but seemed to do so for me as well. It's the only thing different from when USB hotspot tethering worked the day before.

Spent 2+ hours with Apple support yesterday trying to fix and/or uncover the cause. Nothing yet.

Turns out it was the iTunes 12.3.0.44 update. Download & reinstall iTunes, it will replace the damaged kernel file and USB tether will once again be available.
I would post the link to the iTunes download as well as the MacRumors post where I located the fix, but as a site rookie I am too green to do so. Maybe after 10 posts I will be ready. (but I doubt it
