Iv jailbreaked my phone befor using jailbreakme and now im trying to jailbreak my friends iphone. Hes never had it pluged into itunes nor updateded it whereas mine was running on 4.o.1 at the time. He has an iphone 3gs on 3.1.3. Im trying to update firmware to 4.0.1 then jailbreak using jailbreakme. Iv downloaded the 4.0.1 ipsw restore file and shift + click on restore in itunes but it keeps comming up with an error when verifying iphone restore with apple saying "The iphone could not be restored. an unknown error (3194)
any help would be great
