Upgrade Pro 9.7 to Air 4 or Pro 11

I have my tried and true Pro 9.7 that still works fine, battery doesn't last long but otherwise is fine. Trying to decide if the upgrade is worth the expense of new case, pencil etc. For those that have upgraded from the Pro 9.7 to the Air 4 or Pro 11?

1. With only $50 difference from the Air 4 256gb and the Pro 11 128gb is the extra money worth it to go to the Pro.

2. Was the upgrade better than expected or not as good as expected.

The one that came with it is too short
