Anyone hear that if you go to a local authorized att retail store, that if you are due for an upgrade, say 10/19, that they allow you to upgrade on the 1st day of the month you are eligible??

I've NEVER had any luck with a store unless I call CS and make arrangements first. CS let me upgrade a line a month early but they have to note on your acct. Even then, the store rep "couldn't see it" until he called them...

It's true. In my case, because i'm a long time customer, i can get a full upgrade after about 20 months on a two year contract. I also can get discounts on some of the other items that they sell at AT&T.

ive read this before that if your the main line holder of the account you get an upgrade once every 12 months.

BUT that could only be with family plans.

i have 5 lines on my account and a bill of about 275 every month.

What is the point of an upgrade date then? Why not upgrade month? I highly doubt this policy you speak of exists.
