Upgrade path to 4G/HD iPhone?

I'm sure this has come up, but I couldn't find anything, so I'm asking...

Has any details been released on what/if there will be an upgrade path for the new hardware?

No, no details as the phone has not even been announced yet. And, AT&T, Rogers, and I'd imagine other carriers tend to wait until the LAST minute to tell us if we can upgrade. Pretty annoying but for the past 2 years they'ved allowed top-tier (highest paying) iPhone customers to upgrade to the new iPhone as long as they purchased last year's model between June/July and Sept. 1st.

Yeah like jello said we won't know anything until the 7th of Jun at the earliest. I was at the Apple store just yesterday and an employee was telling me that as far as he knew there was no new iPhone coming at all. It cracked me up.

Sometimes is also possible to get these discount offers, proposing your provider to subscribe before the end of the contract for 2 more years.

LMFAO... This just makes me mad that my local Apple store didn't hire me. They hire imbeciles who know literally nothing about their product line as opposed to those who actually know the company. Ha.

I was going to write that they probably were just spouting the company line (and something snarky about an explosive microchip in their head if they dared strayed from that), but I would think they would at least be able to acknowledge some sort of new device (A+) coming someday, even if they wouldn't give any hint of the release date or anything. Or maybe they were just hoping to get a sale from someone they thought was reluctant to buy because of an impending new device. Or maybe they were just a clueless idiot.

You guys have to remember too, Apple is a business theyre trying to sell you things. So why would the Apple employee tell you, "no, don't buy today, theres a newer better one coming". That makes little sense if you're trying to sell and make money. Theyre just trying to get you to make a purchase, by chance, I dont think theyre "dumb" on their products...IMO

They should've said "we don't know yet, nothing's been announced and we don't get information in advance"... Saying that there isn't one coming out is just an obvious lie.

I know, I was cracking up too. It started when I said that I could not wait to give apple more money in Jun. The girl asks me why and I said to get a new iPhone. Then she says, why is yours broken? LMAO I just kinda looked at her and said uh no I am going to get the new one.
