Upgrade, At Best Buy

Morning everybody!

I apologize in advance if this has been asked numerous times before.

I have a $50 off thing for Best Buy if I purchase or upgrade this year.

I've never done this before only through local Verizon.

Will doing this change my plan, work discount, etc?

I know they have an additional 180 day ETF thing but I'm not cancelling so I'm not worried about that.

My wife upgraded through BB last year. Nothing changes from your current account and it was easily done. No issues.

We also upgraded a daughter's phone through BB earlier in the year. No problems, and the $50 gift card was a nice touch. She got the 5C for $49 and also got the gift card.

According to the email fine print I can use that 50 dollars towards the price of the phone. That's what I'm planning on doing...

BB will charge taxes on the full price of the phone, not what they sell it to you for.

I got my mom set up at Verizon with an iPhone 5s and the only tax that was charged was for the case she bought. Just wanted to make sure the same would be true at Best Buy. I'm a huge budget person and don't want any surprises

Did you do an Edge plan? Here in Ca tax on retail charge. I paid $67.49 on tax. This was for the 6 128gb.

A possible work-around could be upgrading to the 5S, keeping it for a few days, then taking it back and exchanging it for a 6. I don't know for sure that it would work, but it seems plausible.

I work at Best Buy Mobile. It's the exact same thing as buying from verizon. Don't have to change your plan unless you want to.

Thanks tuffy I signed up for a promotion they had going to get $50 gift card on new phone purchase. That's why I'm wanting to go to Best Buy. Just hoping the store here has the 6 in December. His is your location doing on Verizon IPhone 6 16gb?
