Updating to 4.1 without restore?

Will there be dyer consequences?? or is it best to play it safe and revirganize it.
Also i purchased MY3g...will i be able to re-download for free afterwards?? im not sure how the whole licensing thingy works with cydia.

I've done and iPhone4, iPad and iPod Touch, without re-verginizing them. That said, it is good practice to do it. Yes, you can re-download all your paid apps from Cydia.
