Unified contact records not saving

Hi, has anyone experienced the problem of their unified contact records not saving when they need to restore or upgrade their phone? This has happened to me several times and it takes me forever to go back through my 2k contacts and relink them all. FYI, the linking I am talking about goes beyond the basic synergy function of iOS6 linking your facebook friends with your exchange contacts. There are many instances where the links are not initially recognized and you have to manually do it, like in the case where you have nicknames or duplicates.

I have been having the same issue. I know that doesn't answer your question, but I am glad I am not the only one having this issue.

I really can't believe they have not fixed this yet!!
