Unable to sync faces to iPad using iTunes

Using a mac and the faces album in photos along with other photo albums. When I checks a name to sync the photo, out to the right it says 0, indicating there?s no photo for that name. I saw the photos for that name in the faces album on the mac. When I plug in the iphone on that same photo it shows a 1, meaning the photo is there in faces album. This is also happening w/ other photo albums. Where the iphone is showing the correct # of pics to sync but when the ipad is plugged in it shows the incorrect # of pics to sync. How do I resolve this conflict?

Try signing out of iCloud on the iPad... reboot it... then sign in again.
