CRUNCH!!! I have found my way here as well! Good to see ya, and hope to talk to you soon. Thanks for answering the question on every newbies mind. Also, thanks for all the good info here in the site. It has come in handy, and I hope to learn all I can about this awesome device.

I haven't found the answer to my search. This is now my third post and my post count is still at 0. Also, I have the "Our records indicate that you have never posted to our site before!" No big deal really. Just curious.

EDIT: After this post, it shows my count as 1. I am assuming it is because my first 2 post were in the introduction forum. Right?

Correct. Posting on the Social & Off Topic forum does not add to your post count.

Ah, here's the answer to the question I was looking for!

But the whole reason for my posting in the introductions forum was to get my post count up, as suggested in the message above the forum:

"Hello NateDawg67,
Our records indicate that you have never posted to our site before! Why not make your first post today by saying hello to our community in our Introductions forum."

Not complaining, just saying its a little confusing.

Just a suggestion. Maybe the minimum post count requirements should be listed in the
'Please read this first before posting. Have a question? We have your answers!'
thread.
Someone with no forum experience would have no way way of knowing about minimum post counts.
Alternatively, it could be incorporated into the site message that appears when a newbie tries to access their user cp.

P.S. Hi PK! (yeah, I know he posted 6 months ago, lol).

Actually it's here in the General Posting Guidelines announcement that is on top of every page you can go to within the forums.

Has been for a long time now.

Seriously, the requirement to post a number of times before a new user can edit their profile and options is to cut down on spam? Wow.

I know spam is a serious problem but thought the letter verification box was to foil the spammers. Have they figured out how to bypass that too?
