I've used Uber Eats a lot ever since the beginning of the pandemic. The fee's, however, make it so much more pricey. Plus, I've noticed if I go directly to the restaurant, the cost of the actual food is usually a couple of dollars less than when I order it from a delivery service.

For sure ! A good round couple of £ on deliveries, but my need for a cab always comes in rush hour when Uber are at their most expensive, and they are not listening to the market they’re in, I have a cab company trying to undercut the others right now!
