Turning on the mic on the pyshical keyboard cover

Does any one have a short cut key for enabling the microphone from the build in keyboard cover? I've become so use to dictating emails, and such that not have a defined key like the one on the screen keyboard is a bummer.

The apple support site says to hold command or option in an app to see what the keyboard options work. Also holding the globe key can bring up the software keyboard, and you could activate from there.

I'm going to see how it works on my keyboarded mini. Hold tight...

Not sure if it can be done. I noticed quite a few Mac keyboard shortcuts work and on the Mac dictation is invoked by pressing the function key twice. There is no equivalent key on the Smart Keyboard.

Not really an answer but if you lift the iPad off the keyboard, without disconnecting the smart connector, the soft keyboard comes up. Hit the mic button, put the iPad back down and dictate.. Yes they still need to add a shortcut...
