Trying to restore from backup

I'm trying to get info from a 16GB (wife's phone 5C) to a 64gb (my old 5) phone and not having any luck:

1) Backed up the 5C
2) Restored the 5 erasing all content
3) Tried restoring the 5 from the 5C backup.
4) The 5 keeps restoring as an ancient version of a 3GS we still have.
5) Erased the old 3GS hoping that would help.
6) Didnt work

Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks!

When u sync the 5 did you restore as new ?

Try using iCloud

Yes, then tried to restore from the backup of the 5C.

Figured it out! Local backup instead of iCloud did the trick.
