Trouble Setting Up email on MacPro

Hello! First, please forgive me I am totally new to the Apple world and totally new to forums. I have a MacBook Pro and have avoided leaving my laptop for months, but now am ready! YAY! I am trying to set up all my emails in outlook and was able to do so with each, except Yahoo. It keeps giving me the error message:

MAIL COULD NOT BE RECEIVED AT THIS TIME. The server for account "Yahoo" returned the error "[AUTHENTICATION FAILED] (#MBR1212) Incorrect username or password.." Your username/password or security settings may be incorrect. Would you like to try re-entering your password?

Any insight on this would be wonderful and I'd be most grateful! I feel that it might be a setting on Yahoo's security side; however, I have no idea. I don't know if I'm even in the proper place.

I looked around and this is what the settings for pop should be

Incoming Mail (POP) Server

  • Server - pop.mail.yahoo.com
  • Port - 995
  • Requires SSL - Yes
Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server

  • Server - smtp.mail.yahoo.com
  • Port - 465 or 587
  • Requires SSL - Yes
  • Requires TLS - Yes (if available)
  • Requires authentication - Yes
Your login info

  • Email address - Your full email address (name@domain.com.)
  • Password - Your account's password.
  • Requires authentication - Yes
