Transfering files via Bluetooth?

I was under the impression that with OS 3.0 that I would be able to transfer files and photos via Bluetooth to my laptop and other cell phones. Like I did with the Nokia N95 that's gathering dust on my desk. Obviously I was wrong...right?

I'd be amazed if it didn't with the BT update, my 4 year old phoe could do them!!
