So here's the situation:

I currently have a 3rd generation iPad that works fine. I only really have two issues with it: it's starting to get slow and lag and also the weight.

I moderately use my iPad for work, some light html/ css/ javascript coding, gaming, and general browsing.

Now I can get 15% off a new iPad Air 2 through a friend. I'm leaning towards just waiting till the new one comes and forgetting the 15% but I can't always wait for the latest and greatest otherwise I would be waiting forever.
