Time to Leave alert in calendar?

I've checked my settings with my buddies settingS and all are enabled.
He gets the Time to Leave Alerts on his iOS devices but I don't.
I only get them on my MacBook Air

I finally got it to work.
I dug deeper into setting and did something.
For the life of me I can't remember what the heck I did to make it work.
