I picked up a Seagate Black Armor 4TB NAS. I hooked it to my Time Capsule last night and it took me about an hour to get it set up and usable. (I would not recommend ever getting one but the cost was good for a 4 TB) I only copied a few pictures and 1 movie. The pictures load (slowly) and the video playback fails after it attempts to download to my iPhone (500MB movie). Everything on the Seagate forums point to opening up the ports of the router, in my case 1st gen time capsule. I have Verizon Fios 25/15. My actual per speedtest.net is 29 up and 20 down. I have no idea on a) what ports to open and B) any idea on how to do it.. The seagate forums are not that great for support & i know & trust the imore community, you guys have helped me in the past. I would appreciate any help you guys can offer. Thanks!!
