44 Terabytes, that is huge! But then I consider that that much data has to be set at RAID 1. So usable space is 22 TB. Actual functional usability will be a bit less.
A 2 hour 4K60 movie is around 50GB (depending on the encoding protocol). That is space for 420 4K60 movies. My current, and far smaller than 44TB, NAS has way over a thousand movies. Few are 4K, I don’t think any are 60 fps. But the point is one day even 44TB won’t be enough.
