I notice there are a lot of 3rd party 29w chargers. Does anyone use one or know of any that are of good quality? Or do the experts here not recommend using 3rd party? I know obviously Apple doesn’t but that’s to be expected. $60 here in Canada is a lot, plus the cable as well.

What’s wrong with your current charger? I mean, does it not charge sufficiently for you?

Well it charges yes, but slowly. It would be nice to charge faster but not spend $100 for apple branded if the 3rd party devices would suffice.

I understand. I typically charge overnight while I’m asleep so a faster charger for me is unnecessary. Anyway, thank you for replying and I hope members will offer their recommendations and advice soon. Take care...

I'm generally a cautious person and always stick to official Apple accessories. Just because I know I can trust the quality and it will last me a long time Vs a 3rd party charger which may not last as long. 😃

That being said, if I were to buy a 3rd party charger. I would look at all the reviews on Amazon and see what people say. If they seem happy then give it a go.

I do agree, Apple prices are a bit much. Especially for chargers, cables & adapters.

I tend to stick with Apple accessories, mainly because I'm a little paranoid when it comes to electricity and my ~$1,000 investments. However, I have done some research and purchased a few 3rd party charging accessories. The only two brands I have trusted enough for this are Anker and Zerolemon. They seem to be well known and trusted brands when it comes to charging accessories.

I haven't had the chance to try third party 29w chargers. I charge my iPP overnight and it prevents me from buying an additional charger
