I have been thinking of purchasing an apple watch so I can monitor calls and texts while riding my motorcycle. I don't want to interact, but just see who the notification is from so I can decide if I should pull over or not. Are there apple watch owners that use the watch under these conditions? Does it do the job? I'm thinking the sport model will be what I need.

I read on another thread that the rider could not discern the taptic vibration on their watch. You might want to search the posts.

As a non-motorcyclist, I can tell you that the vibration is very slight, and you might miss it if in a dynamic and noisy environment.

Yep, I'm that rider. It's really difficult to distinguish the taps with all the handlebar vibration, but what has happened a few times is that my phong has rung (in my front pocket) and I've felt that - prompting me to check the watch quick to see who's calling. So all's well that ends well, I suppose.
