RIP Dusty Hill.

HOUSTON (AP) — ZZ Top bassist Dusty Hill, one of the Texas blues rock trio's bearded figures, died at his Houston home, the band announced Wednesday. He was 72. In their Facebook post, guitarist Billy Gibbons and drummer Frank Beard said Hill died in his sleep.

Charlie Watts rock and roll legend loved jazz also .


The Stones began, Watts said, “as white blokes from England playing Black American music” but quickly evolved their own distinctive sound. Watts was a jazz drummer in his early years and never lost his affinity for the music he first loved, heading his own jazz band and taking on numerous other side projects.
