The same app update appears twice

Hey everyone. I've had my 4s for a year and a half and I've noticed that sometimes the same app update will come to me twice.

Example: A couple of days ago an update for my Mint app appeared in the update section of the App Store. I downloaded it. All is good. This morning the same exact update appears again in the update section of the app store. I downloaded it again.

My memory sucks sometimes so I've thought this has been my imagination but I'm now pretty certain this has happened 15 - 20 times since I've owned the phone. Any thoughts on why this happens or how to rectify it?

That has happened to me with Google+. It went on for a week. I finally realized that for some reason it was downloading the same version and not the update. I eventually had to totally delete the app and do a fresh installand that fixed the issue.

About a year ago, the app store was doing this enough to drive people insane. Nothing fixed it until they did an update. I'm hoping they haven't glitched again!
