Indeed Samsungs 2023 flagship is lagging behind apples 2022 iPhone 14 pro in not only the processor but also the display. Samsung is using the m11 for thier 2023 flagship, which is two generations behind when compared to the 2022 iPhone 14 pro with the m13 panel.

Either Samsung mobile are cutting costs or Samsung display are only selling their top panels to their best client. Either way kind of feel sorry for the Samsung users that have paid full price for the s23 ultra this year, or not .

I'm sure they are but they are probably having to make up even more with the display. On the SOC, Samsung probably is spending more. As the article points out, Samsung in Europe is now going Snapdragon over their own SOC. I'm betting their own SOC was cheaper(?). The latest Snapdragon is the best there is -- not named Apple -- and they are likely paying for it.

I'd like to see these tests run again in 5 months, all of them: geekbench, cinebench and the battery test. That is before the A17 comes out. Let's just say I'm a bit skeptical in numbers from Samsung pre release.
