I agree with you. That's why it's better to trickle charge even a car battery or any type of vehicle. They say the slower the better. I've had a battery tender on my motorcycles for years and always get 5 to 6 years out of the batteries.

Ya know, I've found of late that my 6 charges plenty fast with just the standard 1A charger included with it and doesn't warm up while charging.
