Text reply from lockscreen

Hello guys, Ive been trying to figure out why my 6+ wont let me swipe left on a text message notification on my lockscreen to be able to reply? All I get is the ability to dismiss it by pushing on the little (x).

Anyone else have this problem?

Reseted my settings and that solved the issue...mods please close this thread thanks

Nevermind, after it working for 10 hours it went back to the same issue. Called Apple and they said their aware of it and their pushing it on to have it be fixed hopefully in the next update.

It was told to me that it does not work when you have a passcode on. If you dont have a lock that it works just fine.

Let us know. I have to have a lock on so I have written off that feature. If it turns out not to be the case then you should mention this in the bug post. Might be one!

Didnt work. Turned off passcode and still wont let me reply from lockscreen

I figured it out! You have to have iMessage turned on to "SHOW PREVIEW". Reply from lock screen will not work it you have it pop up as just "iMessage" which makes sense since you need to know what you are replying to. Tested on both passlock and no passlock. When a message comes in, slide your singer to the left and pick "reply"

And apparently it will not work even with the above turned on with 3rd party keyboards enabled.

Wow you are right! I tried it and it worked. However, I rather keep it private and not have preview on so Thatll be my trade-off.

I have read that reply from lock screen only works with iMessage. I have tried messaging some non iMessage users and I have not gotten a reply yet. Does anyone know if that is correct?
