Is there any way to move the text cursor in a text field when typing on the iPhone? I find this would often come in handy especially when you need to go back to correct spelling or if you copy/paste and have to change a letter or two in the pasted copy.

I'm not sure if this is what you're asking but if you press with your finger, not any harder than typing a word you will see a cursor appear with a magnification of the text you move your finger back, forth, up and down to move through the text to wherever you want to put the cursor then take your finger off the screen and you can edit. It takes a little while getting used to moving it around.

After posting and experimenting, I realized that I could move the cursor with a quick tap as opposed to a longer one that would reveal the Select All/Copy menu.

I was not aware of what you suggested. Thanks a lot!

I feel a little embarrassed.
