Tethered jailbreak suddenly becomes untethered??

I don't know how, and I don't know why. I was playing in cydia and I accidentally rebooted to download an app and I wasn't connected to redsn0w using the just boot option but now I can reboot all I like without it and it works just fine. I'm on an iPhone 3GS running iOS 6. Idk how it did it but I'm officially untethered!!!
