T-Mobile coverage in Washington DC area

Currently I’m on AT&T. However I’m thinking about switching to T-Mobile next year due to their Unlimited plans having unlimited texting and data roaming at 2G speeds when overseas and also phone calls at $0.20 a minute. I don’t know if this applies to all calls or calls overseas or calling back to the US. I go overseas multiple times a year to Europe so I’d need roaming.

My coverage with AT&T has been great since I switched to them from VZW in October 2015. However I’ve been getting to areas that have one to two bars of LTE and full service of HSPA+ (4G). The coverage overall is much better than Verizon.

I live in Washington, DC. For those of you in the area who have T-Mobile is the LTE coverage much better than AT&T?

I only visited, and it was about 4 or 5 years ago, BUT the coverage was fine for me.
