Swiping up on apps

You can still open the app from the home screen and, let's face it, you're not typically going to be switching between more than a couple of apps at any given time.

Maye it depends on our user behaviour, I do switch between app while "playing" with my phone

Usually I switch between mail, imore, music, facebook, browser, instagram or sometimes even game

It's a way to preserve information of the app in the memory of the device. It's not a quick access solution

Then i was mistaken for the mutlitasking feature all this time

I only use it as a quick access solution for apps I've been using previously before the current one.
Switching back to the last or the one before that is manageable, but to have to scroll back 5-6 or more apps is just not as convenient as pressing home and tapping that app.

I guess it all comes down to user preference.

You're not mistaken. Because the apps are cached, you can quickly pick up where you left off. That's what allows you to multitask.

I found when I was playing Pok?mon Go, I had to swipe up to close it. Otherwise it wouldn't refresh properly when I reopened it.

That sounds like a bug. I would report it to the app developers. Also try uninstalling the app and reinstalling.
