Subsidized Watch

Does anyone think the Watch could ever be subsidized? It's tethered to the iPhone now but in time it could have it's own internet connection. Would it even be worth it? I think it would make the yearly update a little more digestible for a lot more regular people. If it were subsidized would you rather pay full price or get on a contract to pay less? The iPad as far as I know is not subsidized anywhere is it?

No, I don't want another monthly bill. Moreover, I don't need it to be a standalone device--beyond its current capabilities.

If the carriers subsidized it to $150 with no catch except some kind of 2 year contract I still wouldn't spend the money on it. It goes to show that those who really want it will just buy it without hesitation.
