Wifes phone shows apple logo for several seconds then shuts off then comes back on and does same thing over and over. I can hold home button and get it to say connect to itunes but it will not show up in itunes. Any ideas? Wife has about 1000 pics of our son on there we need help please! Thanks!

If you're unable to get it out of a loop and iTunes won't detect it while it's looping, be prepared to lose the photos. I hope she had iCloud backup enabled or have the photo stream option enabled so that she can retrieve the photos when the device is operational. Anyway, you may have to put the device in recovery mode to get it to work as it should, but more than likely iTunes will erase the contents and settings therein.
