Strange calendar issue

I just bought an iPad Mini Retina to compliment my iPhone 5. I set up my calendar through exchange exactly as it is set up on my iPhone. Here is the issue, when I go to edit an event all the events for that calendar disappear then they come back a different color and not updated. This does not happen on the iPhone, just the iPad. Any idea the issue?
