Standard Keyboard Question

I like to type with my phone horizontal. I don't want or like the keyboard that comes up when the phone is horizontal. However, on some apps like WhatsApp, the keyboard stays the same style but it simply rotates. Is there a way to make it default like that instead of the keyboard with all the useless buttons?

No. Because any app that hasn't been updated for the iPhone 6 Plus' landscape keyboard most likely goes to the new keyboard. I guess WhatsApp hasn't gotten an update yet.

I see. Thanks for the info. I just hate having a bigger screen and tiny keys/buttons. Interesting the iMore forum app also defaults to the standard but larger keyboard when horizontal.

Any app that hasn't updated for the 6 Plus screen will default you to that keyboard for the time being until the app gets updated. Hopefully Apple will have a future update where you can pick and choose which landscape keyboard you'd like.
