Yeah I wouldn't rely on find my phone, most people stealing them either know not to power it up until it's clean, or more commonly they sell it to a known buyer who handles that part.

I bought my iPhone on my Amex card and also Apple Care +. So technically per Amex rules I have 3 yrs of warranty on the phone. The first two years covered by Apple and year 3 covered by Amex.

I say go with AppleCare. Very professional, in person or phone support, repair or replacement usually on the spot

I always go with AC+ for iPhones. With 5 Apple Stores in my general area it easy to walk in and get service and the service has always been perfect.

Others are just your typical insurance company.... They don't care as much as Apple does.
