I have three iphone with sprint and I pay 95 for the first line and 15 for the rest. So I pay like 170 for three lines and sprint is good in NYC.
After more than 15 years covering everything Apple, it’s with a heavy heart we announce that we will no longer be publishing new content on iMore and the iMore forums will be closing as of November 1st, 2024.

Weird. I have to say over $300 for a smartphone and two flip phones doesn't add up. The most expensive smartphone plan currently is $110 and it was $99 just a couple years ago. Flip phone plans have been in the $35-50 range. I don't see how you could have possibly been charged over $300 for what you described. Well everyone has different experiences with their carriers.
They set it up as though I had smartphones on unlimited plans, despite not having three smartphones using the weak logic of "since it's the same price, why not just upgrade those lines to smartphones", which must have worked with other people but was not happening with me. The others on my plan had no interest in smartphones. Sprint was playing games, and I wasn't interested in fielding a team. When we switched, I put my husband on an iPhone and he could seriously not care any less. He wants a flip or basic phone again, well, really he wants no phone at all.
