Does anyone out there know if you can take a sprint iPhone 5 over to T-Mobile. I've read reports saying you can and others saying you can't. Anyone have first hand experience.

You need to confirm whether or not it is actually unlocked. Sprint (in the past) has typically been a bit prickly about unlocking their phones.
And if it is in fact locked, Sprint is the only one that can unlock it.

Don't think the iPhone 5 has band 12, very important, long distance with solid penetration for signal.

I came over to the 6s just to get band 12 and I've not been disappointed. My reception is improved, and since I live and work in a rural area, that's important.
