I have used something similar for a while. Works well. My wife has one as well.

You can take it off and re use it again and again. I have placed it on numerous phones and cases and it never damages anything. The product I use is the iRing.

One of my friends has one and loves it. Now that I think about it, I should get one for my clumsy daughters.
