Sold Out???

So I live about 15 mins outside Philadelphia and am lucky enough to be within 45mins to an hour from probably 10 -12 Apple Stores. As of yesterday, AirPods Pro were available at ALL stores. Today my fiancé jumped online to check availability and in-store availability is pushed back to Dec 2nd and delivery is November 25th.

I’m curious if there has been any news. Did Apple pull them off the shelf intentionally? It’s very odd to me. Any thoughts?

This is very strange. Just check the store around me and I'm seeing the same thing. Was just near an apple store Sunday and they were in stock.

Same here and I'm not sure. Maybe the first and second wave of the Airpods Pro sold better than what Apple anticipated and the demand outweighed the supply. I didn't hear about any Airpods Pro recall.

What time did you check the stores? They’ve been appearing as “in stock” in the morning here in South Florida and sold out by early afternoon. People want these as Christmas gifts and know that waiting doesn’t provide them any advantages.

Agree. That said, there have been ZERO stock issues in Metropolitan areas since launch day. I didn’t pre-order and walked in launch day at lunch time and got 2 pairs no issue. My fiancé at the time didn’t want them so hooked my boss up. Today she went on to order and they were all out of stock. This can’t be a coincidence, look.

Al IS right though, there is some sort of issue. Only 2 out of like 12 locations near me have them, the rest say dec 3, as he indicated.

Just spoke with an Apple associate at Fifth Ave & she advised they never ran out. She said the system froze for a bit and wasn’t properly updating merch. Fifth Ave & GC get shipments around the clock since they are the busiest stores and Fifth Ave is open 24hrs. Can’t speak to the rest of the stores. She only floats between these 2.
