SO apparently I messed up when I upgraded to iOS 4.0. I guess I upgraded the bootrom (baseband?) as well, and now I can't jailbreak my old 3GS.

Oh well.

A OS4 virgin jailbreak will be out "soon enough" ( few weeks maybe? ), but if you updated to OS4 virgin without creating a custom firmware you're in a tight spot.

If you had an untethered jailbreak with blackra1n and you saved your SHSH blobs on Cydia you could try to restore to 3.1.2, re-jailbreak, and the create a custom firmware.

I did have my SHSH saved, but I don't really know how to restore to 3.1.2, so maybe I will just leave as is.

I did not create a custom firmware when upgraded.

Curse me and my need to upgrade asap! :)

Rdiddy beat me to the link. You should be able to do it, but you'll likely have to put it into DFU to do it, and you MIGHT get some errors due to the baseband already being upgraded, but if you follow the directions it should still work, eventually.
