So I’m official a victim of Apples grand scheme.

I’ve been hearing the iPhone is Boring Mantra a lot lately but it’s really more like it’s becoming so refined to the point of a communication appliance.

Reliable and issue free that we don’t feel the anxiety that use to be associated with the Tech of the past.

So I’ll take Boring all day long

That’s a good point.
If something works pretty darn well for you, why would you look to change?
As someone else said, it’s in our human nature. We may be married to our life partner but we occasionally look around and are attracted to someone else. Usually though, when we really think about it , we can’t do any better than what we have.

I know the feeling. I jumped to the Note 5 and lasted a month. Tried again with the Note 8 and made it about 6. Note 10+ looks nice but I’m staying with my XS Max. My new hearing aids are made for iPhone and their integration into iOS is great. Just one more thing to keep me with Apple.

If I switch, I lost the functionality I get with my AirPods, Apple Watch and the way all my devices talk together. My iPhone really is the glue and unless I want to lose out on all of that...with the iPhone I remain.

"As I hold my head down shaking it side to side with my eyes closed"...EXACTLY THIS.

As humans I feel that we are drawn to the allure of difference and we get caught up in the moment but then we rationalize it and make the best decision

Yea I’m only able to rationalize and make better decisions now. 10 years ago, I’d have been walking out with a new Note 10 lol.

I remember being in awe of getting my first iPhone. I didn’t realize the implications of what I was getting in to. Not that I’m complaining. I’m very happy with my investment in the Apple ecosystem and have no desire to even look elsewhere. It’s like being monogamous!

https://www.apple.com/accessibility/iphone/hearing/#mn_p along with Apple's Health and Security focus are a few reasons I'll probably continue on with iOS as my primary mobile device. Have been procrastinating and don't have hearing aids yet...

It’s hardly as serious as my title suggests but still...

Here I was playing with the Note 10, which is a gorgeous device and I’m on the verge of switching when it hits me...

But man...that Note is so pretty.

Looking forward to the iPhone 11 announcement. Hopefully I’m impressed.

I bet you anything that had you even gotten the Note 10 you would have returned it and not because of anything you mentioned. Simply because of the size. The iPhone X/XS 5.8" screen are really a good size to do most things one-handed.

Absolutely. After owning the X I don’t think I’ll ever go bigger than say the Xr size. For me one handed workflow on the iPhone is a must. Couldn’t do that with my 7+

I hear you, but can't call my self a victim, new what I was doing when I opened the wallet.

That’s why I didn’t get the reference.
I’m still 18, with 21 years of experience, that is.

David Carradine as Kwai Chang Caine aka Grasshopper in the 70’s TV show “Kung Fu”.

I do miss the days of my youth...

I don’t care how pretty the Note is: I’ve dealt with Samsung before, never again. Yes I know, the Note looks this and that and promises to fix all the wrongs in life as well as steam your pants, prevent aging and put Viagra to shame but Samsung makes pretty shiny things that cost as much as Apple and only work long enough for you to exit the store.
I’m not exactly stoked with Apple, either, so right now I’m just hoping my devices will last so I don’t have to deal with the morass anytime soon 🤷🏻*♀️
