The new Skype update now let you make skype to skype call over 3G for free until Aug, But what about the people that already pay for Skype out? Will we have to pay again to use 3G?
I'm jailbroken. When you first open it, you get a popup message that it is supported only on unmodified phones...but it works just fine.
What if you're trying to use Skype-to-Skype 3G while overseas? Will you still be charged overseas roaming?
How can you be charged roaming on a skype VOiP call??????
Calm down, brother.
The reason I ask is that you would be using someone's 3G network to make the call, so I'm assuming you'd have to pay for it.
How about Skype out calls over 3G. If AT&T gets one penny of that, I will not play. I am not going to cooperate in paying different rates for different applications. A bit is a bit is a bit. It is bad enough that AT&T gets away with charging iPhone users higher rates than other devices. The new Skype update now let you make skype to skype call over 3G for free until Aug, But what about the people that already pay for Skype out? First, one pays data roaming charges, usually quite high, when on a GSM network other than AT&T's. Second, AT&T is not "net neutral." It charges, different rates for different phones, different rates for different operating systems, and, by an agreement in restraint of trade with Apple, it charges different rates for different applications and resists some applications altogether, e.g. tethering. While the FCC is resisting this on the wired Internet, it seems to be buying AT&T's argument that it is necessary, at least on the wireless side. How can you be charged roaming on a skype VOiP call??????
