If you fold up the little rubber eye-cups on a pair of typical binoculars and put your iPhone camera up to them you get a usable telephoto lens.

Some cropping and adjustment might be needed to the photo, but it does work. I use PhotoGene from the app store clean up the images.

This is way easier with a tripod camera, because the slightest shakiness is amplified with a tele.

I shot this Golden Eagle in a treetop from a city block away using 16 power binos mounted on a tripod.

Not the best photo, but pretty good given the equipment at hand. Its a crop as well, so there is some depredation due to using only part of the image.

I like the 3 pencils made into an iPhone dock. I use that trick in my office at work. Everyone asks where I got it, I say I found how to make it on YouTube. It comes in handy, and is cool if done right. How to make pencil iPhone dock
