Shure headphone/Ottterbox Commuter Case

Any ideas? I have the Otter Box Commuter case with the iphone4s. My Shure headphone jack won't fit flush into the phone's headphone opening. The case is just a bit to thick to let the jack seat into the phone. I'd rather not trim the Otter box opening or trim the plastic end of the headphone jack.

Any ideas?

You should be able to get a headphone jack extender check radio shack my shures will work on my 4s with the defender but not on my original iPad
