Maybe you have push notifications set on for the App Store and/or background app refresh and auto updates set on.
Just set every setting of the App Store to OFF.

Looks like it refreshed itself and now the App Store is way down on the list. Must have been old data from yesterday when I downloaded about thirty apps. I kind of like having automatic updates turned on for the App Store, so I don't have to do it manually.

Is this considered good? Not being sarcastic I'm just new to iPhone.

Compared to the 5s, it is VERY good battery life.

I can't post a picture of it, but my current phone after its first charge stats below...

Current Phone Charge: 9%
Usage: 8 Hours, 40 Minutes
Standby: 13 Hours, 28 Minutes.

Overall, I'm impressed. Battery lasted me all day no problem (with "moderate" use).

Phone gets very warm. Sometimes charging and it still goes down..

Nope this has happened, since I got it. I work for t-mobile retail, and my store has perfect signal lol

The Batt life on the plus is nice. I put it on charger before going to bed last night and didn't realize the USB popped out of the charger. I was like at 46% at 11pm woke up to 39% at 5am and let it go.

Were you mostly on wifi for these stats?

General question for everybody: these reports of amazing battery life -- are you mostly on wifi and have you done extensive configuring in your settings to preserve battery life? Or is this right out of the box?

It depends whether I'm at my apartment or out.
Typically I'm not on wifi from 7-4 pm.

Also: it depends on what activity you are doing with regards to better battery life. If you play a lot of graphic intensive games and/or video you won't see much improvement in batter life.

For example, I played the game sonic dash and it drained roughly 25% batter in less than 2 hours.

On the flip side I was running nike+, streaming music, and using the web periodically a few days ago and it only drained 7% in an hour. (My old 5s would drain 10%+ per hour doing the same thing).

Also: I did not configure it any differently. That battery is right out of the box.

Battery life in the first day of my phones life was bad, but that's because the system restore (back-up from iCloud) was a power hungry beast
