Thank you so much for this article. I use Mac but not running Yosemite beta.. Also, I prefer Onedrive from MS over iCloud. Apple offers just 5GB free while MS offers 18GB!! Besides this, the paid cloud services of MS are way cheaper than Apples.

I don't have a Mac, but thought this article might be helpful for those who use a Mac and will be upgrading to iCloud Drive.
Be aware, be careful, be prepared for iCloud Drive - TUAW

Or has it been released? LOL

MS's OneDrive is different from iCloud. iCloud just backs up what is currently on your device. OneDrive is more about storage. It will back up what you have. But I use it just for storage. iCloud is not storage. You can't put anything in iCloud, then delete it from your device. You can with OneDrive, Box, Dropbox and Google Drive. The new iCloud Drive should have that storage option.
