Should I just wait for iPhone 6S?

So I see no reason to upgrade then if it can still fulfil your daily need. Like you, I'm also very influenced by all the talk and so on about the iPhone 6 series, but it has always be this way with every new iPhone release. So go ahead, install the new iOS and enjoy your iPhone for another year till the 6S is release.

I'm still using iPhone 4S... It seems to still be fully functional

From a 4s, I would. A friend of mine still has the 4s and when I had my 6+ next to his 4s yesterday it dwarfed it in every way. We can't tell you if you should upgrade. If the phone still does everything you want it to do and the new ones don't tempt you or make you say I want that then you probably don't need to upgrade. But if you want any or all of the features of the 6/6 plus then upgrade. I never understand why people think strangers can tell them what they should do lol

You kind of answered your own question. If your phone is fully functional, doesn't seem you want to upgrade yet.

If iOS8 is running fine on your 4S and your satisfied with the device then stay with it. Use what works for you. Good luck.

Do you want a bigger screen? Better camera? Lighter? Thinner? Are you the kind of consumer that wants the latest in technology? Then get the 6. If not, then stay with what you have.

iPhones are built to last, if the 4S is working properly and you don't care about newest gadgets then you're better off using your 4S until it stops working or you end up breaking it. I personally couldn't wait a day but then again its my personal preference to get every new iPhone that comes out on the day they start taking pre orders.

This is probably the wrong place to ask this question - most of us Apple fanboys are upgrading our good, mint condition 5S and we have done it every year since the phone came out.

Anyways, it is you who has to decide. There is a huge performance improvement that comes with the newer phones but if it is working and you are happy with the same wait till the next gen. The problem is if the phone dies on you in the middle of the update cycle you might have buyers remorse (assuming you buy the latest iPhone 6 for say $200 entry model and the new iPhone is predicted to come out in the next couple months for same or lower price)
