Should I be concerned that my new iPhone XS Max is having intermittent charging issues?

I mean, a simple search on his channel reveals that he did, in fact, respond to it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I_gyYjKMN50

BTW, not being able to charge up a phone isn't a problem that's blown way out of proportion, especially on devices that cost $1,100+.

Apple resolved that issue pretty quick.
That issue didn’t happen all the time and it didn’t happen to all devices.
So yes. I’d call that ‘blown out of proportion’

I noticed for the first time last night that my phone was having an issue recognizing the charger. I plugged it in with different cords, outlets, restarted the phone and nothing. I moved it upwards then it finally started charging. Today I charged in the car, worked perfectly. Should I be worried and did this happen to anyone else?

If you're using Apple branded charging accessories and this is still happening, I'd talk to Apple about it.

Just curious if this individual did a follow up video since Apple has corrected this minor problem that was blown way out of proportion. If this was an Android issue we still wouldn't know about it and it probably wouldn't get fixed until they released a new device (that's right I sad it). Apple corrects issues faster that any other smartphone brand.

Yes he did a follow up.

I agree w/ this. I am using a Anker brick with the Apple lightning to USB-C cord at work to charge w/o issue. At home I just use an iPad brick + Apple cord w/o issue.

My max has been flawless none of the listed issues at all. Every time apple launches a new device there are issues but apple makes good on all problems.

Last Saturday mine seemed to not want to charge. After cleaning out the port it started working and I’ve not had an issue since. I keep my phone in my pocket when not in my hands and port lint seems fairly common I hear.

I would check your outlets or maybe the cords.. I won’t use anything but the apple chargers because working mobile I have seen what using non apple branded charging cords will do to the phone and the battery

If I was spending this much money it better charge properly
If my 8+ had issues charging it would be checked out too. We spend our hard earned money. Phone needs to work ptopo

Yes, this minor problem that was happening on some devices and was solved quickly by Apple with an update. Anytime something is mass produced there are bound to be some problems, but I tip my hat to Apple for correcting these problems quickly on most occasions compared to other companies.

I am impressed with Apple. I made the switch 3 years this January from Samsung on a personal level. My company uses Apple products
so I knew I was making a sound decision
I got tired with all the crap
