How do you make those shortcuts to call/text people?

You long press the text icon until it shakes. Next drag it to the phone icon at the bottom until you see a box displaying your two icons. You are done.

Disregard the other post I replied. Here's the correct way. You need to drag the phone icon from the bottom to your text icon is. A box will show up and it will have two of your icons. Next rename the heading. Finally drag the box which has both of your icons , all the way to the bottom where your phone icon used to be. That's how it was done.
