Senior citizen remote access

I have an older father who recently acquired a Mac desktop. He lives about 90 minutes away so, I am not able to go to his house regularly to help him with computer issues. He is running Yosemite and so am I. How can I access his computer remotely from my house to help him with the computer? I need something that is somewhat easy for him so, that I can take over his Mac when I need and help him with his computer.
